Holy smokes its been a while since I've come on and posted something! And I apologize to all those crazy fans I have that are faithfully following me! ha (thanks sisters and mom!) Alright so before I go on to post about whats going on right now, I gotta do a quick update on the past couple months.
February:
WEEK AT HOME
So over the Holidays, I didn't get to go home at all because of work and spending some at Connor's house. So I decided I'd take an entire week off from work after all the holiday craze settled at work, and spend it at home with my mom and dad. I don't think I had ever spent that much time where I was the only kid at home before and let me tell ya what! It was a BLAST! I had some ideas of activities I wanted to do while I was home and my mom helped me make sure we did em all!!! If you didn't already know it, she's awesome. We finished the table runner I was making during Christmas, made a new Easter one, and went shopping for some much needed shoes, make up, did mom and Cort's hair, hung out at Devin and Cort's house where I fell in love with Cortney's house decorations and their stinkin cute little girl foxie Roxie. Sooooo I don't have any pictures from the week, but wanta see how the table runners turned out?! I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I think they turned out pretty stinkin cute!! Check these suckers out!
Spending a week at home with just my parents was SO much fun! If I could think of what a perfect week off from work would be like, that was it. I got to be with my awesome, totally fun parents, sew and do crafts, buy nice make up and shoes! (things I always feel guilty about buying.) hang out with Devio and Cort and just hang out! I mean SERIOUSLY! how much better does that get?! You're right, it doesn't! It was SO much fun!
VALENTINE'S DAY
This Valentine's day rocked. I wish I had pictures from it, but I think we were having too good of a time to take any. annnnd because our cameras are very broken and are hard to use. But anyway, Connor does an EXCELLENT job at being such a caring and loving husband, but for little holidays like Valentine's day, I think he just doesn't know what to do for em. BUT this year he was so sweet. Every morning he gets up before me and is in the shower before I even start to move around in bed or he's telling me goodbye before I even moved a muscle. (mornings are not the easiest time of day for me.) But anyway, this morning I wanted to wake up and make him some breakfast for Valentine's Day. But he beat me awake again, and when I woke up there was the CUTEST little note and a rose by my pillow. That's like in the movies. So then I made him a big breakfast that included a lot of meat, bacon and eggs. That's what i'd call a breakfast for a MAN! Then I put some food in the crockpot so when we both got home from work and school it'd be good to go! (Thanks mom for all these awesome crockpot recipes!!!!) Luckily, I beat him home and cleaned up the house and finished up dinner, set the table nice and cute and had it all ready for when Connor got home. Ok and I know the flower by my pillow was so stinkin cute and nice, but what Connor did with me the rest of the night is where his real sweetness came in. We had dinner, then the rest of the night we made sugar cookies and decorated them while watching The Bachelor. And if you know me at all, you would know that a night like that is like the best night ever! I love that kind of cheesy ridiculous lovey stuff and I LOVE decorating sugar cookies with Connor! His cookies are always way more creative than mine, but mine always have more frosting than his. This Valentine's day went down in history as one of the best, and I feel so lucky to have Connor. He really truly is THE BEST.

DEVIO'S BIRTHDAY!

Devin has always been SUCH a good big brother to me. Before Devin and I got married there was a while where we were both living at home, where our bedrooms were right next to each other where I felt like him and I got really close. Some of my most favorite memories of those times were on Saturday mornings, where neither of us had to work, he'd come barging into my room screaming "GOOD MORNING!!! It's a BEAUTIFUL DAY! now let's make some yummy breakfast!" hahah He is such a good brother and makes things so much fun! During that same time of our lives he'd call me up on a Friday after work or something and ask me what our Friday night plans were! and that he wanted to do something fun! I love how he makes me feel like his friend.
Not only did I always feel like he treated me like a friend, he's also one of my favorite people to get advice from. The Sunday evening tradition scooter rides started out because he took me out to give me some good advice about a boy I liked. He does such a good job at listening and really hearing what I'm saying and then talking it through with me helps me then gives me good advice and does the best job at helping me make big decisions. Another time he taught me something valuable that I have never forgotten was when I was pretty young. He took me with him to run some errands one day and before coming home we stopped to get a milkshake and I told him I didn't want one cause I had no money and he ended up buying me one anyway. He then taught me that us siblings gotta help each other out some times! and that i'll eventually help Jenica and Kendra out some day and we'll all just pay it forward in our lives to each other. I was really little when he taught me that lesson, but I never forgot it. I love how giving he is. There has been MANY times where either it was his advice or being a friend, or dragging me to an activity when I was grumpy because he understood me and knew it'd make me feel better. Another really great memory I have with Devin is when I got my ACT scores back. I am a HORRIBLE test taker and I was really nervous about my scores because I knew I didn't do very well. (I don't know if I've even told Connor my scores they're so embarrassing). But, when I got my scores back, the only person I let come in my room with me when I opened em was Devin. Our other siblings are geniuses and school comes so stinkin easy for em, and for Devin and me, I felt like we had to work a little harder for our grades than they did. After I opened em and saw that they weren't the greatest he knew just what to say to make me feel better. I remember he went on to tell me that "yeah maybe our siblings got the brains, but we were the lucky ones. We got the looks and the humor." or something like that. He was being overly dramatic and funny but it was just what I needed to hear to get me laughing again and not feeling so bad about it. He encouraged me that I could take em again and i'll do better.
I am so lucky to have a brother like Devin in my life. I'm glad that he is the oldest and has taught all of us how to work hard and have fun no matter what situation and how to be a good parent and work so hard at everything he does. Whether its his church callings, work, his projects around the house, keeping everyone active and getting us all to run a race last year, encouraging everyone to be in the 365 day club with him and just being better. I love being around him and his cute little family.
SAINT PATRICK'S DAY IN REXBURG
A few weeks before St. Patty's Day Dan and Annette told us they were coming into town and then were going to drive to Rexburg to visit Morgan. So we checked our schedules and I got time off and we got to go with em!! We hadn't been there in a long time so we were excited to go back and see all the new buildings and some old friends. The first night we got there we were able to go visit Connor's old roommates and be part of the gang again. It felt good to be back with them and listening to their crazy stories and staying up way too late. The next day we got together with Morgan, Dan and Annette and toured the new and improved BYUI campus. We checked out the new Auditorium, which is TOTALLY cool by the way. There were sooo many basketball courts in there and an upper level track. The other buildings were all remodeled and cool lookin too. BYUI as we know it is turning more hip and cool everybody. I didn't think i'd ever say that, but its true.
The rest of the weekend we spent playing games and going to dinner and visiting and getting to know Morgan's girlfriend Karoline. It was a really fun weekend being with family and friends and relaxing.
PHONE CALL FROM A CLIENT
So this is just a little story that I wanted to share cause I thought it was AWESOME and it made my entire week. Ok, so there is this lady that has come to me to get her hair done for the past year or so and over a month or so ago she had come in and sat in my chair and told me that she was tired of her hair and that she didn't know what to do she just wanted me to do whatever I thought would be cute. But since I had been doing her hair a while now, I knew the things that she liked, so I trimmed it all up, reshaped it and then I showed her some product that I thought would ROCK her haircut. Then sent her on her way. The next day at work our phone started ringing and so I went to answer it and on the other line this is what I heard: "JANIECE!!!! I LOOK SO PRETTTTY!!!!" she went on to tell me that she loooved her new haircut now that she's styled it herself and thank you thank you thank you and that she couldn't believe she found me at supercuts! hahah It was so cute and so nice of her. That was the only reason she called, just to tell me how much she loved her new hair. So anyone out there that wants to make your hairdressers day, call em up and let em know how much you love it!!! Cause believe me, they haven't stopped thinking about your hair and have been wondering how you liked it. So to get a call like that, ROCKED! Made.My.WEEK!

TYLEEN'S BIRTHDAY
Tyleen has helped me a lot in my life. Whether it was when I was super stressed during my first finals week in college ever and she brought me a couple bags of groceries because she knew I had no food. (I was so happy to see that food I started crying! It was a VERY nice thing to do!) Or inviting me to do fun things with her and her friends, or letting me come be with her when I was feeling homesick, or just helping me on a school project or something. She has ALWAYS been there for me. And I know you've heard me say this before, but I love how Tyleen is so supportive. Whenever someone important to her has something big going on, she shows her support. In College she would go to her friends sports games, when I graduated beauty school she had a huge banner for me on the wall of her place when I got there and one of my favorite desserts. She'd also travel far to go to sports games for our sisters, or their high school graduations. She's such a good example to me and has taught me so much about how to be a better friend and a good person.
Tyleen has probably taught me more things throughout my life than most people. She's taught me most of my cooking skills, (sorry mom, its true. she taught me a lot of the basics) she taught me how to be a good friend and how to support those we care about, she's taught me that I don't have to do something if I didn't want to, or if there WAS something that I wanted to do, I didn't need anybody to do it with me. She's been a really good sister to have right above me because I've always helped me and had my back in everything. I'm glad that we've gotten so close over the years and that we have so much fun when we get together. She's just the coolest.
TRENT AND JESSICA'S WEDDING
Trent finally got married everybody!! Oh it was a GLORIOUS day! I am so happy for him! I had a lot of people ask me what Jess is like because they hadn't met her and wanted to know what type of girl that Trent was ending up with and the thing I always said was that Jess is pretty much Trent's dream girl. My brothers have always loved curly hair, and what do ya know, she's got curly hair! Trent's always been drawn toward and fascinated by tall girls, she's pretty tall!! He's always wanted a girl that would be chill with how obsessed he is with sports and outdoorsy stuff, and guess who loves it as much as he does?! JESS DOES! She's a PE teacher and a basketball coach. And things I have heard them do for fun is going running together. I mean come on guys, they sound perfect for each other don't ya think?
It was really special being at the sealing for Trent and Jess. Brother Walch sealed Connor and me and is a good friend from home and had recently moved to Alpine UT and ended up performing the sealing for Trent and Jess too! It was really neat to be there with them and fun to see how giddy Trent was. The weather was kinda weird, sunny, snowy, cold, hot, and windy. A little bit of it all, but it was still a very good day. The reception was fun seeing a lot of close family friends, and who doesn't love a good party with yummy food? I DOOOOO! It was a great day and I am so lucky to have another awesome sister in law. Welcome to the fam Jess!
I stole these pictures from Tyleen's facebook. I wish I had more of the wedding, but here's just a few from the day:
We missed Jenica a lot a lot. So we carried her picture around all night at the reception so she was always with somebody. We're proud of you Sister for working so hard on your mission. We love you and miss you!
EASTER
Easter was a lot of fun this year because the family was in town for Trent and Jess's Wedding. We knew Easter was going to be busy this year so we all got together the weekend before to decorate Easter eggs with Zeke and Porter. But lets face it, Kendra and I were the ones that didn't want this tradition to die as we got older.
Zeke and Porter were playing with stickers when we got there and for some reason Connor and me were his favorite people to put stickers on. This picture doesn't even show all the stickers that I had all over my body. I was COVERED.
Every year there is always a winner for coolest looking paper towel and I was winner hands down!!! look how colorful that thing is! Maybe it had something to do with the fact Porter and I were decorating them together and we went through about three times more than everybody else, but still!!!
Easter Sunday the family had to travel back home and Karissa and the little boys were traveling with Mom and Dad home to to spend some time there. So Connor and I decided we wanted to have a big Easter feast and have Toby and Kendra over for dinner. And let me tell ya what!!!! WE ROCKED IT!!!! Check these pictures out of the yummy food!
If you can't see clearly here, that is HAM, mashed potatoes, gravy made from the ham, bread sticks, asparagus, Deviled eggs thanks to Kendra, and some fresh pineapple and strawberries! LET THE FEAST BEGIN!!!!
It was a good Easter. Church was awesome, food was GOOOOOOOOOOD and after the dinner we played some games with great company! That is what I'd like to call a GOOD Easter.
KARISSA'S BIRTHDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARHESSA! Karissa is the oldest of the girls and with that takes on the role of showing all her little sisters how to do it right. And let me tell ya what, she sure is showing us how to do it. For one, she has one of the cutest little families on the planet. And for two is showing us how to be SUCH a good mom. I love spending time with her and her little boys because I get to watch and learn how to be a mom some day. I love how creative she is with her little boys. During Holidays their house is always so decorated, half with the cool things that Karissa and Toby have made, and the other half is filled with projects that Zeke has made. I love that Karissa lets her boys make messes and get dirty and eat all their Halloween candy. Then she takes the time to teach them how to clean or to eat until they don't want anymore and lets them experience SO MUCH. I love to hear the fun things they are always up to, going on fun day trips to a cool park or a fun hike or just staying home and making cool things at home. Their house is NEVER a dull place.
Karissa is such a trooper and is always SOOOO willing to help and I love that about her. I have many memories where I was in High School and had a big test coming up and having Karissa explaining something to me so I'd understand it better, or preparing me for my Lab final I had coming up or how to register for something that was confusing to me. She's always wanting to lighten someones load and help out. For example, when I had to move apartments Karissa was right there helping me move everything over. She just goes and goes and goes and always is thinking of herself last. I could really learn a lot from Karissa in that sense. I'm afraid a bit more selfish than she is. I also love how she can get anyone excited about a project to do, last summer she decided we should have a big play structure in my parent's back yard for our kids to play in and she helped my dad design it and stuck by his side the whole way getting it all figured out, buying all the stuff and getting all the hard stuff put up. I love that she never stops until a project is done.
I have really loved living closer to Karissa and her family. It's been fun having craft days at her house or going over there Sunday evenings playing games with her and Toby or just sitting in their living room playing games. I'm so glad to be living close to them so we can get together and do fun stuff all the time.
TRENT'S BIRTHDAY
So you're probably wondering, "sheesh, half your siblings had siblings in April?!" Well, let me clarify something for you. Trent, Karissa, and Tyleen's birthdays are all in the FIRST WEEK of April. Growing up we got a good fill of cake and when I was little I remember how badddddly I wished my birthday was in April. All my siblings were getting cool presents and all that attention and I didn't get my birthday until September! I wanted to be a part of the birthday club so bad. But it was a very fun time of year, even for those non-birthday holders.
Trenty's birthday this year was probably a pretty good one for him, seeing as it was the day after his marriage with his hunny Jess!!! Trent is one of my more quiet and reserved siblings, but one of the best people to have a good discussion with. When my family gets together we like to talk and have these discussions and when Trenty is there, he always adds some deep stuff that I love. He's so good at making me think about things differently. Trent is also one of my siblings that I love having around because he's always so easy going and good company. He'll never say a hurtful thing about anybody and is so loving. But don't let that soft sweet exterior fool you when it comes to playing sports. He still gets VERY competitive when he's playing, which still makes it a lot of fun to watch him play. Being the little sister of Trent going through the same high school as him was pretty fun. I'd have teachers go across my name first day of school then stop, and remember the name Limb then ask, "did you have a brother?!" and I'd say, yess.....Devin and Trent. Sometimes it was Devin they remembered, but a lot of the times I remember them saying, yes! TRENT! and his friend....and then I'd remind them it was Jarred. Then the teacher would then continue to shake their head back and forth then say, "oh yes.... ooooo those two!" hahah then they'd go on with the rest of the students. Trent went through High School a few years before me, but was still remembered. He was a Mr. Smarty Pants but knew how to enjoy himself. I love that about Trent. He still is that way, he is smart and does well, and still knows how to have fun.
Trent is such a good brother to me and I am so happy for him that he just got to spend his birthday with his new wifey and join the life of being married, cause, it does in fact, rock. Happy Birthday Trentyboy!
