Connor's Birthday

Connor's birthday was Oct. 13th and was a GLORIOUS day!!! He was on campus for most of the day, so I didn't know what I was going to do to make his day a fun one. So, the night before, I wrapped a few presents and hid them in his backpack.  Then that morning I made him one of his favorite breakfast and sent him on his way.  About an hour after he left I sent him a message to open the first present that was in his pocket.  Which was a letter saying happy birthday, i love you, blah blah blah and also directions about the other presents in his backpack that he might come across.  So, every hour or so I would tell him another present to unwrap and we did this almost the entire time he was at school. Which was actually a lot of fun for me! And he did a good job at actually waiting to open em until I said so. After he got back, we ran over to a money wise workshop where we're learning all about how to save our money and budgeting and all that good stuff we should all know.  AFFFTER the workshop we came back to a decorated apartment!!!
Before we went to the workshop I blew up some balloons and put up some streamers and made him one of his favorite birthday cakes!!! We had a stuffed pizza from Papa Murphies and some rootbeer then opened presents and had cake!

He got a lot of his favorite treats and some Tea Tree shampoo (Which rocks! It's minty and tingly, if you haven't tried it, you should!) and some cologne.  Buuuuut I think that best present of all was the one that Ryan and Meredith gave him.  It's a router!!!!!! If you've ever been to our apartment you probably have noticed we have to be plugged in, in order to use the internet.  And only have the option of sitting in two of the coushins of the couch! Noooooow we could use the internet ANYWHERE our little heart desires! In the kitchen, the extra room, our bedroom?!!?!? IT ROCKS!!!!! We feel very spoiled.
I made my first German Chocolate cake for his birthday-With the help of greatly appreciated directions from Annette- And it turned out really well!!! It was pretty yummy!

Happy Birthday Corndog!! I am glad you were born and in my life! You are the best and I can't wait to spend another year of our lives with you!!!!!!!!!! Now lets go make being 24 the best year EVER!

A Word to the Nasty

Alright folks, I gotta give everyone a little lesson about coming in to get a haircut.  I know I know, what is there YOU are supposed to do? Aren't you just supposed to sit there and get beautified?! Yes, mostly....HOWEVER, if you want to get a good haircut there are a few things YOU have to do.  ONE- While getting your haircut, don't cross your legs.  The stylist will think they got the length perfectly straight, and then realize your legs are crossed and have to fix it, because it WILL be off.  SECOND- try not to tilt your head.  Everyone has a natural tilt- its very funny actually.  I have it too, and the stylist will probably have to straighten  your head a couple of times, but if you were aware of it, maybe you'd get a little better. Now, finally, THREE, and most importantly, DON'T, I repeat, DON'T come with your hair over two days old dirty and say you don't want it shampooed!! ITS DISGUSTING!!!!!! Second day washed hair isn't sooooo bad.  I can handle it.  But when it gets dirty it starts to smell HORRIBLE and feel nasty, you might think yours doesn't get smelly, but TRUST ME! IT DOES!!! You're just used to the stinky smell because its with you every second of the day getting smellier and smellier.  Today, I cut this guys hair, who obviously hadn't washed his hair in a long time, and if I had strong gag reflexes I would have been doomed!!! Even his skin around his neck and ears that I had to touch were SOOO oily and nasty I was getting sick to my stomach.  But what did I have to do? Just hold my breath and not think about it.  Of course I still gave him a good haircut, but come on guyyyys! WASH YOUR STINKIN HAIR! or at least let me do it!

Alright, so let me sum the important points up so everyone's got it.  NO crossing, No tilting, ANNND WASH YOUR STINKIN HAIIIIIIIIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alright?! alright! When you see little oil scales and flakes coming off your head, you are LONG over due people! NO one, i repeat, NO ONE wants to be around that nasty hair.  So, please don't make me run my fingers through it! alright, that is all.

The picture project is finally up!!! And I love it! It takes up a lot of the space on the wall, and thats a good thing.  That wall used to be totally bare, so now we have connor's beautiful face all over it.  It makes me happy.  And was VERY easy to do! I highly recommend it for someone that can only put things up with velcro wall things.

Well well well, its been a few days and nothing too exciting has happened.  I've worked, worked out and hung out with Nenka Poo.  Today was the sad day that I had to see her go.  She had originally thought she was going to go home yesterday, so she thought that she'd like to go to the temple again before she went home.   So what'd we do? we woke up WAY early and went to a 7:30AM session so she could get on the road with plenty of time to drive in the daylight.  Buuuuut what happened after we got back from the temple? We were stinkin tired, thats what happened! I took a nice long nap before work and Jenica decided she was too tired to make the trip home. :) Sooooooo I got another day with her! But, the happiness with sister ended today.  It was loads of fun having her here and she will be greatly missed.  Our extra room looks SUPER empty and it'll be weird locking both our doors tonight when we go to bed instead of leaving it open for jenica to get back from her adventures with James and the Giant Peach.

Today was a good day! Just a tid bit of what happened.  Work was a normal day full of reading gossip magazines and doing peoples hair and laughing it up with the girls I work with. Annnnnd right before I left a guy came in to get his haircut so I decided I'd do it real fast before I took off for the day, and after the haircut he tipped me a little ANNNND gave me a free service card at his work.  It is good for a FREE oil change for our car!!!!!! If you were Connor, you'd know how many times I've said recently how BADLY we needed to do this! When he gave it to me, I was OVERLY thankful! He probably started regretting it as soon as he gave it to me. How did he know?! HOW DID HE KNOW! ha! I am just so lucky! The good ol green car is getting a good oil change here soon!

ANNNND TO TOP IT ALL OFFFFFF....Tomorrow is Connor Wesley Willis's birthday! He's growing up and will finally be the same age as me. The month that I am older than him I hear a lot of horrible jokes about being the older woman.  I'm excited that's almost done! And I've got some pretty fun ideas for his birthday up my sleeves, so i'll just have to let you know about those TOMORROW, cause connor's right here reading over my shoulder and I can't give it away! That's right Connor, go back to eating your overly colorful Trix cereal and let me blog in SECRET! haha! I crack myself up, well that is all! SEEEEEE YAAAAAA

Family Weekend

WAAAAHHH!!! I TOTALLY just broke my streak, and killed my goal.  I had a goal to write a post every single day in October, and then my family came into town and I ran around all stinking day that I ran out of time to post anything!!!! And I didn't only miss one day! I missed TWO IN A ROW! Yikes, I am sorry!!! Buuuuut once you hear how much I have been up to, you will  understand why I didn't have anytime to plop myself down in front of the computer the last couple days.

Alrighty, sooooo starting with Friday.  My parents were in town and I still had to work.  Buuuuuuut I work with awesome girls SO I was able to leave a little early so I could go meet up with Jenica, Kendra and my mom right after I got off.  We got all her Temple stuff ready to go for the next morning and then ran over to Costco.   Why did we run to Costco you ask?! well well well, we had Kendra with us and she was hungry.  And if you know anything about the girls in our family, when we're hungry....we are GRUMPY! soooo, we went to costco and had every sample we found and then went over and got a slice of pizza and a few fruit smoothies to share.  DEEEELICIOUS! The rest of the night was filled with speeeedy grocery shopping, watching Kendra's intramural Volleyball game and going to the gym and 11 o'clock at night! ELEVEN! who does that?! Well apparently, Connor and I do.  And let me tell ya what! The gym is DEAD on a Friday night. hahahhahah yes, we are officially a lame married couple that had fun on a Friday night at the GYM! So, as you can see, I had NO time to post! now, just wait to hear about SATURDAY!!!!!

Saturday was the BOMB DIGGITY! In the morning we went to the Temple with Jenica for the first time! and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! If you haven't gone to the Temple with your family, do it! It was the most special thing EVER! I can't wait for Kendra to go through and for Devin and Cort to be there.  That day that we are ALL there, will be the coolest thing ever. Can't wait.  After the temple we went to Pizza Pie Cafe (also known as Craigos)-Where our good friends Bekah came with us who we haven't seen in a long long time!.  Then the rest of the day was filled with FUN FUN FUN! First we went and watched the second half of the Girl's Soccer team, then we came back and played 500 with a football for a good while, then kickball with a BIG rubber ball so it was really hard to kick far.  It was a BLAAAAAAAAAST!!!! Then the girls left to do girly stuff (like shopping, ear candles, eat yummy food, high light tyleeners hair, and talk and talk and talk.) While the boys stayed and went to the BYU football game.  So, by the time I got home, it was after 12 and I had already missed posting yet, ANOTHER day! buuuuut as you can tell now, my weekend has been AWESOME!

My family rocks and I LOOOOVE hanging out with them.  My siblings are my very best friends.  I especially love Tyleen's killer form when kicking a kick ball and then runnning to the base in her "insanity form" with her head straight down. :) and Toby's perfectionist ability at helping with ear candles, Karissa's competitiveness when playing 500 with the boys, and Jenica's good stories about James and the Giant Peach. (hahahha ok there are no stories but she knows what that's about), and everyone else----You're the best! I am the luckiest girl ever to be a part of such an awesome family that loves to have so much fun!

also another picture from this weekend....jenica went and played basketball with karissa and all the hardcore older ladies. i tried to warn her!!! she got a black eye!!!!!!!! HA!

Ill show ya how to party

Yesterday was my day off from work with a little sister in town!!!!! You know what that means...PARRRRRRRTAY!!  On my day off I always try to clean the house, so Jenica helped me do the dishes. Then, after we got all showered up, I cut Jenica's muuucccch needed hair cut.  Then we got ready together.  That probably doesn't sound fun to most of you, but I LOVE getting ready with my sisters.  She let me put product in her hair and then blow dry it for her so she had nice body and smoothness. Theennnnn we mostly just hung out.  Later I finshed up one of my projects that I started on my last day off.  It is a photo thing that I made to go on my wall! I got the idea from some blog I found on Pinterest and i loooooooved it! Connor and I had been thinking about a way to put more pictures up of us doing fun things together rather than just our marriage pictures around the house.  Soooo, I was excited to get this project going! And it's SO easy!!!! The final product has two boards that are put on the wall right next to each other. The picture is just one of the boards after I put a layer of mod podge all over it.  But now that its all done the mod podge dried all clear, giving it a cool finish and I can't wait for it to get put up on the wall!!!!!!! (Gotta be creative when decorating a cinder block wall apartment:))

I was pretty bummed when I saw the picture on the computer because you can't really see how awesome these cupcakes were!! Jenga (jenica) and I tried getting Kendra to come play with us but she said "she had too much homework", BAH! We didn't believe her for a second.  So we made some cupcakes to take over there so we could at least see our little sis for a few minutes without looking like we were dragging her away from her homework on purpose.
Seriously, these cupcakes were KILLLLER! They were SO much more colorful than the picture is portraying.  We had put about five different food colorings on the sides of the inside of the bag right next to the frosting nozzle. So, when you squirted out the frosting each little flower thing looked like a rainbow.  I know, it sounds WAY cooler than the picture looks. You just gotta take our word for it.  They kicked bum.

Anywhoooo, I love my days off and we also made another presence at the gym, woooooo-eeeeeee I am getting sore muscles! Look out world! I am getting BUFFFFFFFFF!!! And don't you dare think that this was my ONLY day off this week! Cause it's not!! My parents are now in town and Tyleen is coming again on Friday and Jenga is going through the temple for the first time on Saturday-which I get that day off TOOOOO!!!!  If anyone needs the Limb fam on Saturday morning, well toooo stinkin bad! we'll be in the temple! BOOOYA! I can't wait to go with my fam! This weekend is gonna rock!

The day my camera died

I realized it has been over a month since my birthday and I never mentioned how WONDERFUL it was! My birthday was September 3rd and I had to work.  It wasn't so bad, I got to leave at six and while I was working Connor was able to do all of his sports playing and watching.  However, he had informed WELLLLLL in advance that there were pretty big games on my birthday that he was going to want to watch.  So, when I was driving home from work I was fully prepared to come home, make dinner and sit and watch the Oregon Football game with Connor for most of the night. Buuuuuuut when I opened the door......

I saw streamers and balloons and wonderful posters around our house! Then family members popped out of the corners screaming "SURPRISE!!!!!!!"   Karissa is awesome. She knew that I was probably going to end up watching sports all day and wanted to do something special and she went over and beyond.  She and Toby brought the boys, pizza, a homemade PiƱata, and all the awesome decorations.  Kendra made me the best cake ever (funfetti) AND gave me some peanut butter M&M's and Connor did a good job at keeping it all secret and found me a super cute coat for my birthday.  Also, I can't forget to mention my loving parents, in laws and Tyleener!!! I got a special card from my mom AND Tyleen with some birthday money in it that I spent QUICKLY-muuuuch too quickly- on new cute clothes!!! And Dan and Annette gave me a gift card to Ikea that I still haven't found just what I wanted from there yet.  Buuuuut I am SO super excited about it! I felt soooooooo extremely loved on my birthday! I can't believe I am TWENTY FOUR years old!!!!!! That's so stinkin old, its ridiculous.

Buuuuut this was the same day that we pulled out our camera and found that it was BROKEN! It will still turn on and take a picture, but the screen is all white and won't show previous taken pictures or show you a picutre of what its taking a picture of.  The only picture we got of my birthday was this "tester" picutre to see if it still took pictures.  I know I know, i look aweeeeesome.  Buuuut it does its job of documenting the day.

The day turned out being so much fun! I ate lots of candy and sweets and yesss, if youre wondering, the oregon football game WAS on in the background through the whole party:) Thank you Lander family for helping me celebrate my birthday and making it so stinkin awesome! You guys rock!

I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH

I LOVE HAIR!!! How many of you get PAID to do something that you are so extremely interested in and looooove doing?! Welll well well, I am actually THAT lucky! I love having someone come in and giving them exactly what they wanted and having it turn out better than they had ever hoped for.  Yesterday there was a cute older lady that came in and was going to see a lot of her grandkids today and she wanted a cute little bob with a little stack in the back.  BEFORE we got started it was a crazzzzy out of control mess. (People-stop trying to cut your own hair inbetween cuts...you look silly) so anyway, When she left her hair was nice and smoth and SO super dang cute! i wish I could have taken a picture for you.  She was a cute lady and I did a stinkin good job! :)

Anyway, I love to look at pictures of people's hair to get ideas and here are some that I am in love with right now:
(All these pictures came from either me surfring around the internet or Pinterest.com)

If I were to dye my hair all one color right now....THIS is what it would be.  I am too much of a wimp, buuuuut I am IN LOVE with red hair!!!! I am SERIOUSLY considering putting this color low lights in my hair though.  I mean seriously guys!!! its coming.....ill show you pictures when it happens

Need to put your hair up for the day? Hellllllo! Look how stinkin cute that is?!

I am a fan of Glee and I always lovvved her long cute hair. So when I heard that she cut it I was sad.  Buuuut then I saw it! this may be the bessst ever

I am in LOVE with fishtail braids right now

People bring in this picture to me probably the most out of any other haircut.  You can see why though right? And her color rocks too

Gotta love the Olsen twins.  I've been jealous of their hair since "It takes two"

THIS is my goal.  I have been growing my hair out for a long long time now.   Buuuuuut in another year I think i'll get it to this! I love her bangs and the layering around her face

Goodness gracious, I have been obsessed with A-Lines for probably ever.  If I wasn't growing my hair out right now, I would TOTALLY be rocking one!

I think Carrie Underwood might be the prettiest girl on the planet.

See what I mean? Her hair was soo pretty long!

Jennifer Aniston-Always a hair icon

BRAIDS BRAID BRAIDS!
Right now I have some weird bang action going on so, I braid my bangs almost every day.  I just love them!

Short hair rocks

sleek bob

LOOOOOVE this color!

If I was brave

Tried and loved it!
When my hair is kinda dirty it's my day off where I don't have to do my hair all the way, I did this and still felt cute and it was so stinkin fast and easy
